Every blog has to start somewhere, so I’ll start with some favorite pictures of our two Goldens – Bear and Hokie (the puppy). Bear has passed on and Hokie is growing old. So, I’ll start by looking back in time a bit.
Bear, our older Golden, was clearly the alpha dog, but that didn’t stop Hokie as a young puppy from trying to take advantage of a loose lead. Hokie grabbed the rope and tried her best to lead the older dog around the yard. Fortunately Bear was good natured and played along.
Bear is thinking how much longer do I have to put up with this as Hokie wraps the lead around Bear’s legs.
Finally bear decides to investigate something else with Hokie following – lead in mouth.

Turnabout Is Fair Play - The older dog, Bear, tires of the game and takes the lead with Hokie following lead in her mouth.
